Microsoft releases fixes for Spectre like attack

13/06/2018; Quoting Security Week - Updates released in this week's Microsoft Patch Tuesday (Wednesday here in NZ) add support for a feature that should help prevent attacks involving "Variant 4". Variant 4 preys on the Spectre vulnerabilities discovered earlier this year.

Annoying as it can be at times it always pays to keep up with your Microsoft Patching.
